When a piece of equipment fails in the field, you usually need to stop what you’re doing and haul it back to the shop for repair. To cut down on these back and forth trips, try the new portable Air N Arc® 190 from Thunder Creek Equipment. It’s a three-in-one welder/air compressor/generator, and all three functions can operate simultaneously. The Thunder Creek Air N Arc® 190 is available as a stand-alone product or installed in a Thunder Creek trailer.
A 14-horsepower, 3,600-RPM electric-start Kohler engine powers the machine (drive system is self-cool, -tensioning and -cleaning. The welder has 40A-190A variable working range amperage and comes with weld cords. The capacitor-style generator has max 5,000-watt AC output, 4,200-watt rated AC output, one 230V twist-lock connection and two 110V outlets. The compressor is reciprocating, 20 CFM at 100 up to 150 psi. It has a 10-gallon air tank capacity.
The units are independent, so they may be used at the same time. For example, the welder may be used in the field at night, with the generator powering service lights.
According to the manufacturer, farmers can service equipment faster with pneumatic or electric driven tools using the largest air compressor in its class and a no-hassle, no-worry capacitor-style generator.
