Tractor and combine sales continued at a very healthy pace in April, according to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer’s April 2013 Flash Report.
Sale of self-propelled combines continued at a torrid pace compared to last year, with April sales up more than 58 percent compared to April 2013. For the year to date, sales are up 57.2 percent compared to the same period a year ago.
Total farm tractor sales are up 9.3 percent year-to-date, with the largest percentage increase seen in the 100+ hp two-wheel drive segment. For April 2013, sales were 35.9 percent higher than April 2012, and for the year are 29.9 percent above last year’s pace.
