In a review of the March 2012 Flash Report put out by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, it looks as if some folks were busy snatching up 4WD tractors.

According to the report, 4WD tractor sales for the month of March totaled 586 units, compared to 508 units sold in March 2011, a jump of a little over 15 percent. Year-to-date sales in the 4WD sector are down 0.9% compared to last year.

For the month, 2WD tractor sales were down 4 percent compared to March 2011 in all three segments: under 40hp, 40 to under 100hp, and 100hp+.

Self-propelled combine sales took a rather large dip compared to March 2011, down more than 25 percent. For the year to date, total self-propelled combine sales are down more than 43 percent compared to last year.

So are you making any buying plans?
