I continue to be impressed by the wide range of apps that are being introduced to the agricultural sector. It seems that there’s no end to what these programs can do, or what information they can provide.

Great Lakes Hybrids has just such an app that they’ve recently launched. The app allows you to search for products by name, trait or maturity. “Performance data and agronomic details can be compared and products can be viewed in a variety of stages in full-color images,” according to the company. And once downloaded, the app is fully functional even without the availability of an internet connection.

Sure, I know there are some folks who still will want their seed buying catalog to thumb through, but this sure brings the “cool” factor to seed buying.

You can download the app, for free, from the iTunes store.
